Electrical Apprentice of the Year 2018

Meet Killian McCormick…. Runner up at the Northern Ireland Electrical Apprentice of the year awards, 2018

Earlier this year I was asked to represent WKK Electrical Services and Belfast Met in the Electrical Apprentice of the year competition as a second-year apprentice. The competition was held at the Castlereagh Campus and consisted of a 6-hour practical involving the installation of a small consumer unit, trunking, conduit, sockets, lights and the wiring of the completed installation in various sizes of twin and earth cables. The competition was mainly judged on the accuracy and neatness of your work. At the end of the 6-hour period the work was judged, and I was pleased to hear I had been placed second overall. I would like to thank WKK Electrical Services for the opportunity, support and the experience I have gained throughout my apprenticeship.
